For membership app developers
Apple Wallet membership passes for your app
Turn membership data into a signed Apple Wallet pass. Send JSON from your server; AddPass handles generation and signing.
Start in the free sandbox. Choose a paid developer plan for production.
Fictional details; not a working credential.
From your database to their phone
Create a sandbox key
Sign up for developer access and create an API key. Keep it on your server.
Send member details
Add a name, membership number, your branding and a barcode value to a JSON request.
Deliver the pass
Return the signed file or a temporary download link through your own application.
A small request. A useful member experience.
Use generic passes for club membership details or a QR code pointing to your own verification flow. Your application decides what that code does.

Keep membership logic in your app
AddPass creates and signs the pass. Your system remains responsible for membership eligibility, check-in, redemption and access decisions. Do not treat a displayed membership card as live proof that an account is active.
Before you build
Do I need my own Apple signing certificate?
Not for this integration. AddPass handles signing for passes generated through its API.
Can I update a pass after someone installs it?
This example covers generating a pass. Do not assume support for automatic updates or revocation of an installed pass; design your verification workflow separately.
Can I try it without a paid subscription?
Start in the developer sandbox. Sandbox passes are for testing and may include visible sandbox markings. Check the portal for current allowances and choose a paid developer plan for production.
